Symptoms include confusion, memory loss, and issues with speech and language.  Dementia is more common in people over 65 and symptoms progress at different rates. All patients will have STEP I +2, but only those with positive findings will move onto step 3.

Dementia Screening

Steps 1 and 2 can be carried out in half a day but Step 3 will take longer depending on what is requested. Results for stage 1+2 will be available in 24 hours and the doctor will talk through the findings directly. Follow up is key.

The doctor will also discuss the many options to reduce the long term risk of dementia including lifestyle, diet, exercise, medication, supplements etc.
